Yoga Health Benefits—Vapariti Karani Pose
Vapariti Karani is a popular yoga pose, commonly called Legs Up the Wall. To do this inverted pose, lie on your back with your buttocks a few inches from the wall and your legs up and resting against the wall. Your legs rest gently and your knees are relaxed as you feel a nice, light stretch. Hold the pose for up to 20 minutes, practicing belly breathing throughout. When you first try the pose, you may want to move further away from the wall. As you become more flexible you can work your way closer and increase your stretch.
